Sometimes we don’t need formal learning, just need to listen to the quiet voice inside.

Some of the happiest, best people in the world have no formal understanding of complex history, philosophy or psychology.

The instincts bestowed on us by nature and God are enough to live a full, happy, good life.

And in fact often an education in the sciences and humanities can do more to push us away from the deep, instinctual love that can guide us if we slow down and listen to it.

The complexities of philosophy, psychology, politics, and so on are necessary for some to study so that we can combat those very few who would use them for bad.

But in general, even for the philosophers among us, we should remember that for 2.8 million years we have lived well, together, and with nature, without much deep or formal understanding of them at all. Therefore, a person need not be a scientist or a philosopher before they fall in love, or be kind to children, or do some good, honest work. All they need do is follow the quiet voice in their soul.

And for those among us who do study these things, it’s important to do so with a clean heart, and with honest intentions, and with the guiding energy of love and goodness. That way we can share whatever we learn and moreover we can still be open to lessons of our human brothers and sisters who teach without speaking. And moreover the lessons of nature herself who is the oldest teacher.

And finally, I would say – speaking now as someone recovering from exhaustion and anxiety issues, due to too much stress and keeping my foot on the gas pedal for too long – combined with my ptsd, and past traumas – remember to slow down and be kind to yourself when needed. Your body and mind will tell you when you are pushing too hard. Your responsibility in this situation is not to keep pushing , but to stop and recharge.

To reconnect with the quiet voice inside. To be around good, peaceful energy. Make your world smaller, turn off your phone if you need to, drink warm tea with honey, watch old funny movies from your child hood. Sleep, a lot, drink water, eat good food. Rest.

You will feel the benefits of your goodness in your resting also. You will see how the good are rewarded with quiet love. Unlike the evil who find no rest, and no friends or family who want to be around them due to their actions.

God bless us all.
