Separate emotion from identity.
You are not your feelings .
You can feel sad or anxious. But it doesn’t mean you are a sad person or anxious person.
You are you. Your feelings are yours. There is a important difference.
You can feel them but you get to decide who you are and what you do.
And what your life is.
You’re not a slave to your emotions. You’re the master in fact.
When hit with an emotion. Identify it. I’m feeling sad or anxious. That’s fine. That’s healthy. But its just a feeling. It’s not who I am.
Breathe. And decide what you want to do today. Then go about your business anyway.
If you need to take some time to regulate the emotion via breathing etc thsts ok.
Its not a battle for who’s winning. You’re always winning cuz you are in charge lol. Your emotions can’t win lol they are yours. There not a person
So regulate , then decide what you want to do and get to it.
